What we do
The role of MAPS is to promote best practice among its members, provide a forum for members for discussion, debate and continuing professional development and, to the wider audience such as engineers and architects, provide guidance on new methods and techniques and a list of suitably qualified and experienced companies.
Our Organization
We are the voice of the professional surveying community in the Maldives. Through its affiliation agreements with the respective international surveying societies, MAPS has a strong constituency base through which it communicates directly with lawmakers, agencies, & regulators at the national levels. MAPS monitors and comments on legislation, regulation, & policies that have potential impact on the activities of its members and their clients, and collaborates with a multitude of other organizations within the geospatial community on issues of mutual interest.
